What Malaysian schools actually need from a clay supplier
No kiln required
Very few Malaysian primary and secondary schools have a kiln, and fewer still have the technician time to run one. JOVI Air Dry Clay hardens in open air, which means a three-dimensional unit can be taught in an ordinary classroom with nothing more than desks, water and a covered box. Pieces are dry enough to paint within 48–72 hours in local humidity, so a unit fits inside a normal fortnightly cycle.
Mapped to the curriculum you teach
Our six clay units are written against Pendidikan Seni Visual KSSR for Tahun 1–6, and separately against Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design (0400) and IB MYP and DP Visual Arts for international schools. Each unit comes with a printable lesson plan, an editable assessment rubric and a pre-filled risk assessment your safety officer can sign. The PSV Tahun 1–6 material list maps SKUs to each year group, and there are dedicated notes for IGCSE coursework and the IB Process Portfolio.
Documentation that clears procurement
Bulk purchases usually stall on paperwork, not price. We supply the full pack up front and free of charge: EN71-1, EN71-2 and EN71-3 test reports from AIJU, the EC Declaration of Conformity, ASTM D-4236 certification and safety data sheets for every product line. All of it is downloadable from the teacher resource library without an enquiry form. If your finance office needs a formal quotation on letterhead with our SSM registration, ask and we will issue one.
Cost per pupil, not cost per pack
The number that matters to a department budget is what one child costs for one unit of work. A 500 g pack of air dry clay covers roughly four to six primary-age projects; a 10-bar plastilina pack serves a table of five for a full term because it never dries out and is reused. We will model cost per pupil against your class sizes and term structure as part of the quote rather than simply sending a price list.
Supply you can plan around
Stock is held in Shah Alam, not shipped to order from Europe, so a confirmed school order dispatches within one working day and reaches most of Peninsular Malaysia inside two. Term-start demand in January and again after the mid-year break is the pinch point — schools that confirm quantities two weeks ahead are prioritised. We can also split a single order across delivery dates so you are not storing a term's worth of material in a classroom cupboard.
How to get a quote
Send us your year groups, approximate pupil numbers and which units you intend to teach. You will get a tailored quote within one working day, including cost per pupil, recommended pack sizes and any samples we think you should see first. Schools trialling clay for the first time can request a sample pack before committing to a term order.
